Database Analyst/Technical Report Writer - Boca Raton, FL

The Database Analyst/Technical Report Writer is responsible for assisting with the reporting needs of the organization, ensuring the value of the information processed, and securing the database and the transmittal of the data.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

• To provide reporting in a timely manner to all users/departments on both a scheduled and ad-hoc basis.
• To understand the business requirements of the report request and think outside the box to provide the best data needed for analysis.
• Responsible for the design and distribution of daily operational and management reporting.
• Documentation of the reporting process to ensure delivery of reports in a disaster recovery situation.
• Work closely with the Database Analyst to continuously improve the products suite and the current supporting processes.
• Continually acquire expertise in emerging technologies that may provide a business advantage to the organization.
• Assists in project planning; provides reports and updates as required.


Requirements

• BS in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred or currently attending college
• Strong T-SQL and SQL Server skills.
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ActiveX automation using VBScript.
• ActiveX automation using VBScript is a plus. Perl or other scripting language is a plus.
